Use these instructions to navigate the SWE Directory.

  1. Navigate to www.swe.org.  

  2. Click the Login button at the top-right corner of your screen and enter your login information.

  3. When you’ve logged in, your name and ID number will appear in the top-right corner of your screen. Click the button that says SWE Member Portal.

  4. From the Portal main menu, click SWE MEMBER DIRECTORY.

  5. Accept the Directory terms and conditions.

  6. You can start by doing a simple, one-word search. A simple search of a last name will return members with that last name.

    • A simple search of a place will return members who list that place in their address.

    • A simple search of a company name will return members who list that company as an employer.

  7. To conduct an advanced search, click the link that says Go To Advanced Search.

  8. Select the fields you would like to be included on your search, examples of items you can search on are below.

    • Entering “Kat” in the first name field will return all members with “Kat” in their first names, e.g.

    • Entering “Brown” in the last name field will return all members with “Brown” in their last name, e.g. Brown and Browne.

    • Entering a domain name, e.g. mit.edu, in the email field will return all members with that domain in their email addresses, e.g. baldrin@mit.edu.

    • "Entering “30 Main St” or “Portland” in the address field will return all members with “30 Main St” and “Portland” in their addresses.

    • Entering “Tampa Bay Area” in the section field will return all active members in the Tampa Bay Area section.

    • Entering “Boeing” in the company field will return all members who list “Boeing” as their employer, e.g. Boeing and Boeing India.

    • Entering “Professional” in the member type field will return all active professional members.

    • Entering “Governor” in the leadership roles field will return all region governors for the current fiscal year.

  9. To process your search, click the Search button.

  10. To select specific members from your search, select the box next to those members’ names.

  11. To select all members, check the box that says Select All Members.

  12. To export your select members, click Export Selected. A CSV report will be downloaded to your computer.

  13. To email selected members, click Email Selected. Member email addresses will be transferred to the default email server on your computer.

  14. To return to the Portal main menu, click the link that says Return to Portal Menu at the top of your page.
