The ideal candidate will be:
- An individual who has demonstrated leadership and initiative in establishing a program such as flexible scheduling and work arrangements, child care resources, family leave, eldercare, customized benefits packages or other forward-looking benefits.
- An individual who has demonstrated an understanding that work and life integration or balance is of concern to all employees, not just women, or only those employees with children.
- An individual who has been instrumental in the implementation of the program/benefit and ensuring that programs/benefits are available to all employees and supported by management at all levels.
A maximum of one (1) awards may be presented annually.
The candidate must have established a landmark program for their organization to improve the ability of women engineers and other employees to integrate or balance work and family responsibilities.
