The ideal candidate will be a woman who has made an outstanding contribution in the field of engineering and/or technical management in an international setting. She can be based anywhere in the world but is expected to have spent at least seven (7) years working various international assignments and/or leading a global team. She should have a minimum of 15 years’ experience, such that the nominee has achieved a leadership position within her current organization and created a nurturing environment for other women of different cultures in the workplace.
The recipients of this award will be asked to present at a session one of the days during the SWE Annual Conference describing their achievements in order to educate and expand the knowledge of SWE general membership.
A maximum of three (3) awards will be given annually.
Qualifications
The candidate must have:
- A minimum of fifteen (15) years of increasingly important engineering and/or management experience indicating outstanding competency and achievement in an international setting with a minimum seven (7) years of experience working on various international assignments and/or on a global team.
- An engineering or science degree with work in the engineering profession.
